Episode Notes

Today the crew discusses Trevor Noah's autobiography Born a Crime.

Born a Crime is a memoir by Trevor Noah that covers his experiences growing up in apartheid South Africa. The book is described as heartfelt, funny, and heartbreaking. It covers the dangerous situations Noah faced as the child of a Black Xhosa woman and a white Swiss man in a country that forbade interracial unions. Some say the book is essential reading because it makes the injustice of apartheid and the fallacy of racism more accessible and easier to understand.
